As you may know, this musical has five acts. This post will detail when each song occurs and what it covers, as well as any tips. If the information is in italics, then the songs has already been written. This post is purposely vague so that you have more freedom when it comes to writing the songs.
ACT 1
Who's Have Thought It? - The intro song.
Do What's (W)Right - Ema's first meeting with Phoenix.
Go. - Phoenix's first meeting with Lana. This song was absolute hell to write.
The Lunch Cart Song - The poorly-written jingle for Lunchland. Angel Starr is camp. No exceptions.
King of Prosecutors - Edgeworth's brooding solo.
The Blue Badger Jingle - The musical rendition of "everyone hates the Blue Badger".
On Your Way (Prelude) - Gumshoe gives Phoenic the Investigation Request and Ema becomes aware of Maya.
Forensic Science (Prelude) - Lana called Ema the night of the crime?!?
ACT 2
Believe - The defendant lobby song. Lana doesn't think attorneys should believe in their clients. Phoenix promptly roasts her.
The Starr of the Show - It took me three months to think of that pun. Trial Former - Part 1.
Cough Up Queen - This song has been started, but it's basically part of the trial segment in which Angel takes a turn for the worse in regards to her attitude. Think of it as Part 2 of The Starr of the Show. Something about a muffler? idk
This Jolly World - Oh, look. Trial Latter. It's Damon Gant. He's being nice. Booyah.
Rise From The Ashes - They get out of the courthouse, and everything's really energetic and great. If you use anything from a proper musical as a reference, I'll shame you. Alternatively, if you use something like Pinkie The Party Planner as a reference, that's okay. Some of this has been written.
Forensic Science [Part 1]- In comes the Luminol!
The Cough Up Queen (Reprise) - The return of Angel Starr. She's being mysterious again. Oh, joy. She tells Phoenix and Ema about SL-9.
Forensic Science [Part 2] - Over at Criminal Affairs, they examine the scene of the second murder...
ACT 3
Believe (Reprise) - As court-records.net puts it, "Both the Defense and the Prosecution are confused, and Lana points out that it's all because Goodman died in two different places at the same time, with a different suspect arrested at the other scene of the crime. Even the Police are clueless. Lana has decided to strike up a plea bargain, which means if Lana tells the truth behind the simultaneous murder, they won't seek capital punishment, even though Lana has no idea what's going on, either. Today's trump card is Jake Marshall's Fingerprints on one of the lockers."
Another Song - Obviously that isn't the title, but something to cover the trial segment here would be good. It should feature something about Ema running off, and how SL-9 has affected her midway through. It should only end at the end of the trial segment. If it's easier, feel free to split this into three songs - before she runs off, when she runs off, and after she runs off.
ACT 4
The Ballad of SL-9 - Creative People, have a field day! This song doesn't have a proper title yet. It's basically Ema singing about what she remembers of SL-9 at the start of the investigation section.
Go. (Reprise) - Lana at the detention centre. What does she say about SL-9?
King Of Prosecutors (Reprise) - Edgeworth's office. He talks about the award ceremony.
The Starr of the Show (Reprise) - Angel says she has never felt as alive as she did during SL-9. And there's all this talk of Gant and Lana...
On Your Way - Gumshoe lets them into Gant's Office with the keycard. This song also covers some of what occurs in the office.
This Cruel World - An ominous reprise of This Jolly World. The trio uncover a lot of evidence relating to SL-9...
Don't You Dare...! - Gant shows up. Some of this song has been written.
Tell the Truth (Prelude) - Lana tells Phoenix what really happened in SL-9.
ACT 5
Together - Phoenix and Edgeworth before the trial.
Who'd Have Thought It? (Reprise) - Lana no longer requests Phoenix's services. Edgeworth disagrees.
Tell the Truth - Ema testifies. Up to when the broken knife could have been forged.
Another Song - Ema is the killer?
A Question of Time - Remember, if Phoenix can't prove anything, Gant's gonna press charges!
Tell the Truth (Reprise) - Lana takes the stand, and finally admits what happened in SL-9, this case, and over the past 7 years. This song takes us from this point to the end of the trial.
Together (Reprise) - After the trial.
Until We Meet Again - Credits song.
